Two new matchups have recently been reported for UFC’s December 18th event. The bouts join a lineup that does not have a confirmed location at the moment.
Stoltzfus Looks For First UFC Win Against Hernandez
Middleweight Dustin Stoltzfus will attempt to earn his first UFC win when facing Anthony Hernandez in December. The matchup was first reported by MMA Island.
Stoltzfus has lost two bouts since he joined the UFC roster last year. After losing a decision to Kyle Daukaus in late 2020, Stoltzfus was submitted in July by Rodolfo Vieira.
Hernandez was the previous opponent for the aforementioned Vieira. He became the first fighter to defeat him, making a comeback to earn a second-round submission against him in February.
Heavyweights Mayes and Parisian To Clash
A heavyweight bout between Don’Tale Mayes and Josh Parisian will also happen in December, per a report from Mike Heck of MMA Fighting.
Parisian scored his first UFC victory three months back, battling to a split decision victory against Roque Martinez. Parisian’s previous fight, his UFC debut, was a loss to Parker Porter last year.
Mayes last fought over a year ago, also scoring a win against Martinez. That victory was potentially a must-win for him, as it snapped a two-fight skid of submission losses.
