ONE Championship will hold the second round of their 115-pound tournament on October 29th, as the fights will take place at the promotion’s recently announced “NextGen” card.

The Singapore-based promotion recently unveiled a trio of “NextGen” events that will take place over the next two months. The format will see the promotion return to the concept of sequel cards that are pre-taped.

ONE Championship’s October 29th card will air live, although the “NextGen” events that will take place on November 12th and 26th will air on a delay after being pre-recorded in October.

Kickboxers Kryklia and Aygun To Headline October 29th Event

ONE Championship’s kickboxing division will headline their October 29th event, as heavyweight champ Roman Kryklia will face Murat Aygun in the main event of “NextGen.”

Kryklia defended his belt for the first time late last year, defeating Andrei Stoica via unanimous decision.

Aygun is getting a title shot after winning his ONE debut last year, defeating Anderson “Braddock” Silva on scorecards.

ONE’s 115-pound grand prix will receive a change in the semi-finals, as Julie Mezabarba will replace Seo Hee Ham in a fight against Stamp Fairtex.

Ham has reportedly withdrawn from her fight due to injury. She has since been given a new matchup, as the promotion is aiming to pair her against Denice Zamboanga – the fighter she earned a controversial decision win over in the first round of the bracket – for December 10th, per Nick Atkin of the South China Morning Post.

Mezabarba won in an alternate bout for the grand prix in September, defeating veteran Mei Yamaguchi on scorecards. The fight was her debut in ONE Championship.

Stamp avenged a loss in her quarter-final bout of the tournament, defeating Alyona Rassohyna via split decision.

The other semi-final fight will see undefeated the Itsuki Hirata face Ritu Phogat.

Hirata defeated former Invicta FC fighter Alyse Anderson in the first round of the bracket, going the distance in a three-round fight for the win.

Phogat prevailed in one of the tougher fights of the first round, handing Meng Bo her first ONE loss with a unanimous decision ruling.

“NextGen” will also have a clash between two undefeated heavyweights, as CFFC alum Dustin Joynson will make his UFC debut against Kirill Grishenko.

Grishenko made a splash in his ONE debut earlier this year, becoming the first fighter to stop Oumar “Reug Reug” Kane.

Attempting to bounce back from a loss he recently took, Miao Li Tao will rematch the returning Jeremy Miado in late October. Miado will be making his first appearance since 2019, where he stopped Miao within a round with strikes.

Heavyweight kickboxers Beybulat Isaev and Bogdan Stoica will open the main card on October 29th.

Muay Thai To Headline ‘NextGen 2’

Two fights have been announced for each of the ONE Championship’s pre-taped cards that are expected to air next month.

Attempting to score his third win in ONE, Saemapetch Fairtex will face promotional newcomer Rittewada Petchyindee Academy under Muay Thai rules in the main event of “NextGen 2.”

The co-main event of the card will see rising lightweights Tang Kai and Yoon Chang Min be paired up.

Former UFC Fighter Brooks To Make ONE Debut At ‘NextGen 3’

Former UFC flyweight Jarred Brooks will make his return in the main event of ONE’s October 26th card, facing Lito Adiwang.

Brooks last appeared in late 2019, where he defeated Haruo Ochi on a collaborative card between Bellator and RIZIN. Just two months before then he scored another notable victory, defeating prospect Victor Altamirano on a WXC card.

Adiwang has won four of five bouts since getting called up to ONE’s flagship programming in 2019. He last fought in September, defeating Hexigetu via decision.

Making his first appearance since losing his ONE Kickboxing Championship, Alaverdi Ramazanov will move to the Muay Thai division to fight Pongsiri PK.Saenchaimuaythaigym.
