UFC’s December 11th pay-per-view card has lost a flyweight bout for the time being, as injury has forced Montana De La Rosa out of a fight against Maycee Barber. News of De La Rosa’s injury was first broken by Mike Heck of MMA Fighting.
The fight was scheduled to happen at UFC 269, an event that doesn’t have a confirmed location at the moment.
It isn’t known currently whether Barber will get a new opponent for her late 2021 fight. She was returning after recently ending a losing streak, defeating Miranda Maverick via split decision in July.
De La Rosa was also coming off some recent momentum, having stopped Ariane Lipski in a June appearance.
UFC 269 is still set to be a stacked lineup that includes a fight between UFC Lightweight Champion Charles Oliveira and former title challenger Dustin Poirier.
