Two new matchups have been reported for UFC’s February 12th event – a card that is expected to be part of the promotion’s numbered pay-per-view series. The location of the event is not known at the moment.
Silva de Andrade Booked To Face Morozov
Aiming to follow up on a recent submission victory, Douglas Silva de Andrade will face Sergey Morozov at bantamweight, per Marcelo Barone of Combate.
Silva de Andrade returned to the win column earlier this month, stopping Gaetano Pirrello in the first round via knockout. The win wrapped up his year with a win, as he took a decision loss to Lerone Murphy back in January as well.
Morozov has an oddly similar story. After losing at the start of the year to prospect Umar Nurmagomedov, Morozov recently turned things around with a decision victory against Khalid Taha.
Rojo Looks For First UFC Win Against Phillips
After numerous delays, Marcelo Rojo has his next fight set. The bantamweight is expected to meet Kyler Phillips at UFC 271, as first reported by Carlos Contreras Legaspi of ESPN Deportes.
Rojo lost his UFC debut in March, getting stopped in the final minute of action by Charles Jourdain.
The Combate Global (formerly known as Combate Americas) veteran has since struggled to find a new fight, as three different bookings in recent months have fallen through.
Phillips took his first UFC loss in July, dropping a majority decision to Raulian Paiva. He entered that bout on a three-fight winning streak in the promotion.
