Saturday’s UFC card lost one bout on Friday, as Julian Marquez withdrew from his middleweight bout against Jordan Wright.
Marquez departed the card due to health issues that aren’t related to COVID-19, per a statement made by the promotion Friday.
The fight was set to happen on the main card of a UFC “Fight Night” card from the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Marquez was looking to score his third win of the year. He has earned two submission victories in recent months, defeating Maki Pitolo and Sam Alvey.
Wright was coming off a stoppage win that he scored against Jamie Pickett in May.
UFC’s October 16th card now has 10 bouts in total. The card is currently set to be headlined by featherweights Norma Dumon and Aspen Ladd.
