LFA Unveils Four Title Fights For End of 2021 Schedule

U.S. MMA promotion LFA is set to crown four champions before the end of the year.

Four title fights were unveiled for the promotion’s final three events of 2021 – two of which will happen in December.

Strawweight Title Fight Added To LFA 117

A rapidly approaching November 12th card for LFA now has a title fight. It was announced Friday that Jaqueline Amorim and Loveth Young will headline LFA 117 on Friday, fighting to become the promotion’s new strawweight champion.

The bout will be in the main event of a card from Los Angeles-Burbank Marriott Convention Center in Burbank, California, USA.

Amorim is currently undefeated through four pro bouts. She scored a quick win in each of her LFA showings, submitting Taisha Gandy in just 33 seconds and finishing Megan Owen in only 10 seconds earlier this year.

Young has won two of her three fights since joining LFA in early 2020. Her last appearance was early this year, where she stopped Kelly D’Angelo in the second round of a fight.

Two Title Bouts Set For LFA 118

LFA will present two title bouts when they do a card from Phoenix, Arizona on December 3rd.

In the main event, LFA Light Heavyweight Champion Josh Silveira will drop down a weight class and fight Jared Revel for the LFA middleweight title.

Silveira became the 205-pound LFA Champion just last month with a head kick win against Tee Cummins. He mentioned after the fight that he was either interested in a middleweight title bout or an opportunity in a larger promotion.

Revel will be making his LFA debut in the fight. He has mostly fought in Canadian MMA promotion BFL, where he was crowned champion in 2019. His last fight was an October 2020 win over Sergio Moraes on a Taura MMA card.

The other title fight will see Richie Palencia and Allan Begosso fight to become the next LFA Bantamweight Champion.

The bantamweight fight will be a clash of two undefeated records.

Palencia has scored nine wins since turning pro in 2013. This record includes three LFA appearances and a 2018 win in Combate Global.

Begosso has six wins and one draw on his record. He picked up a quick win in his last fight, submitting Samarbek Sabyrzhan with a guillotine choke in May.

Flyweight Title Fight Ends Year For LFA

LFA will crown a new flyweight champion at their December 10th event in Prior Lake, Minnesota. The main event of LFA 120 is scheduled to have Mayra Cantuaria and Jamey-Lyn Horth fight for the vacant belt.

Cantuaria is joining LFA on a strong six-fight winning streak from 2018 to 2021. Her last win was in July, defeating Patricia Borges on an SFT show.

Horth has developed an undefeated four-fight record in the Canadian MMA scene, with all of those wins being via stoppage.
