Jake Paul Faceplants Former UFC Champion Tyron Woodley In Boxing Rematch

Former UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley suffered a brutal knockout loss in a boxing bout on Saturday night, getting stopped in the sixth round of a pro bout against Jake Paul.

The fight, which was a rematch, headlined a show from the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, USA.

Paul scored an overhand right that landed clean on Woodley in their fight, causing him to faceplant cold in the canvas. The referee didn’t hesitate to end the fight after Woodley clearly went unconscious.

The finish came after a slow-paced back-and-forth fight.

“I told you I was going to f*** him up. And I f***** him up,” said Paul in his post-fight interview.

Woodley wasn’t the original opponent for Paul this weekend. He was booked for the fight earlier this week, filling in for undefeated boxer Tommy Fury.

Woodley and Paul previously met in August. Paul picked up a win that time around, defeating Woodley via split decision.

Paul now has a pro record of five wins. This includes an April victory over former UFC fighter Ben Askren and a 2020 knockout against former NBA player Nate Robinson.
