Invicta FC Flyweight Champion Karina Rodriguez will attempt to defend her belt for the first time on March 9th, meeting Ketlen Souza in the main event of a card from Kansas City, Kansas, USA.

The title fight was announced for Invicta FC 46 on Wednesday.

Rodriguez won the belt in May last year, fighting five rounds against Daiana Torquato to earn a unanimous decision victory. She was given the title bout after a long run with Invicta FC, picking up four wins through six prior appearances for them.

Souza will be making her promotional debut in the title fight. She had an incredibly successful 2021, scoring three wins on the regional scene in Brazil. This turned things around for her, as she had previously won just one of her three fights between 2019 and 2020.

Former strawweight title challenger Danielle Taylor has also been booked for the card, as she will meet Liz Tracy.

The rare atomweight division will be showcased lower down the lineup with a fight between Paulina Granados and Monique Adriane.
