Veteran Chris Curtis will search for his third UFC victory in just six months when he faces Dricus Du Plessis at the promotion’s April 9th event. The fight is expected to take place at UFC 273, per a report from Shaun Al-Shatti and Mike Heck of MMA Fighting.
The matchup has joined a pay-per-view card that doesn’t have a confirmed location at the moment.
Curtis has picked up two wins since joining the UFC roster. He made an impact in his debut two months back, stopping Phil Hawes in the first round of a fight with strikes.
Curtis returned just a month after that result, coming back to finish Brendan Allen in a fight. Those two wins along with older fights on Curtis’ record means he is now on a seven-fight winning streak.
Du Plessis has some things in common with Curtis. He has also earned two UFC wins, with both coming via finish. His last fight was in July 2021, when he stopped Trevin Giles in the second round.
Du Plessis won his UFC debut in 2020 against Markus Perez.
