Tyson Pedro To End Three Year Absence On April UFC Card Against Ike Villanueva

Six-fight UFC light heavyweight veteran Tyson Pedro will make his return to action on April 23rd, facing Ike Villanueva on a UFC “Fight Night” card.

The fight, which was first reported by Marcel Dorff of Eurosport, has joined a card that doesn’t have a confirmed location at the moment.

The booking marks Pedro’s first pro appearance in over three years. His last appearance dates back to late 2018 when he lost to Mauricio Rua.

Pedro is returning with the hope of snapping a two-fight losing streak. If he can come up successful against Villanueva, it will be his first win in over four years.

Villanueva will also be trying to get back into the win column. He has suffered a finish loss in his two most recent fights, getting stopped by Marcin Prachnio and Nick Negumereanu last year.

UFC’s April 23rd show doesn’t have a main event currently. Here’s how the show looks right now:

Bout 5: Clay Guida (37-21) vs. Claudio Puelles (11-2) (Lightweight)

Bout 4: Dean Barry (4-1) vs. Mike Jackson (0-1) (Welterweight)

Bout 3: Amanda Lemos (11-1-1) vs. Jessica Andrade (22-9) (Flyweight)

Bout 2: Maycee Barber (9-2) vs. Montana De La Rosa (12-6-1) (Flyweight)

Bout 1: Tyson Pedro (7-3) vs. Ike Villanueva (18-13) (Light Heavyweight)
