Two middleweights that were previously stripped from the UFC schedule now have a new fight in place. Misha Cirkunov and Wellington Turman are reportedly expected to appear at the promotion’s February 19th event, as announced Friday.
The fight is expected to take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
It was reported Thursday that Makhmud Muradov had to withdraw from a fight against Cirkunov. Now just a day later, he has a new opponent in his sights.
Cirkunov is currently on a two-fight losing streak, having lost fights to Ryan Spann and Krzysztof Jotko last year.
Turman earned a split decision win in his last appearance, defeating veteran Sam Alvey in August. That put Turman back into the win column after previously suffering two first-round finish losses.
Turman was previously booked to meet Rodolfo Vieira at UFC’s January 22nd pay-per-view card. That bout ended up not happening.
