UFC’s February 19th card has recently undergone some changes. The event has lost two fights, although one of them has already seen a new bout arrive as a substitute for it.
The changes affect a “Fight Night” card that is expected to take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Pickett To Replace Marquez In Middleweight Bout Against Daukaus
Julian Marquez has reportedly withdrawn from his bout against Kyle Daukaus. Replacing him will be Jamie Pickett, per Nolan King of MMA Junkie.
It is not known currently why Marquez withdrew from the bout. He was looking to ride the momentum of two submission wins since his return last year.
Pickett is stepping in after scoring his second UFC victory last month, defeating promotional newcomer Joseph Holmes via unanimous decision.
Now with a new opponent, Daukaus will be fighting for his first win in over a year. His last two appearances have resulted in a loss and a no contest.
Lingo Out of Fight Against Pearce
The card also lost a featherweight fight between Austin Lingo and Jonathan Pearce. The bout was removed from the card after Lingo suffered an undisclosed injury, per Nolan King of MMA Junkie.
It is not known at the moment what is next for Pearce. He could stay on the card, as the promotion is reportedly searching for a replacement opponent for him.
Pearce has scored two consecutive wins in the UFC, including a submission win over Omar Morales last year.
