Mounir Lazzez will make his return to action at UFC’s April 16th show, facing Elizeu Zaleski in a welterweight bout. News of this new matchup was first reported by Guilherme Cruz of MMA Fighting.
The fight is joining an event that doesn’t have a confirmed location at the moment.
Lazzez took his first UFC loss in early 2021, suffering a first-round stoppage loss to Warlley Alves. He previously had a three-fight winning streak which included one prior bout in the promotion.
Zaleski is coming off a win over UFC newcomer Benoit Saint-Denis last year, fighting to a brutal unanimous decision win over him.
A win in April for Zaleski would break his six-fight pattern of winning and then losing a fight right after.
