Undefeated bantamweight Movsar Evloev could get his biggest test yet as a pro later this year. UFC is looking to book him against Dan Ige for their June 4th card, per Brett Okamoto of ESPN.
If the fight can be finalized, it would join a card that doesn’t have a confirmed location at the moment.
Evloev has kept his undefeated record alive since joining the UFC roster in 2019. This now includes five wins in the promotion.
Evloev’s last appearance was in June 2021, where he defeated highly-touted prospect Hakeem Dawodu via unanimous decision.
Evloev was scheduled to return in January against fellow undefeated contender Ilia Topuria. However, that matchup was scrapped after Evloev withdrew from the booking.
The potential booking gives Ige a chance to snap a two-fight skid that he is currently on.
Ige’s last fight saw him lose to Josh Emmett in December. Six months before then, he lost a five-round main event bout to The Korean Zombie.
