Submission specialist Polyana Viana will search for her third consecutive victory when she faces Tabatha Ricci on May 21st. The fight has been recently added to UFC’s upcoming “Fight Night” card, per a report from Alex Behunin of Cageside Press.
The fight is joining a show that doesn’t have a confirmed location at the moment.
Nearly all of Viana’s pro wins have come via submission. This includes her three UFC wins through six appearances with the promotion.
Viana’s last fight was a quick showing, submitting Mallory Martin in the fourth minute with an armbar. A win in May would make Viana’s UFC record positive for the first time in her career.
Ricci is coming off her first-ever UFC victory. This win came in October when she fought three rounds against Maria Oliveira for a decision result. She had her undefeated record taken from her earlier in the year, as her UFC debut was a short-notice loss to Manon Fiorot.
Ricci now has a pro record of six wins and one loss.
