Tristan Conelly will make his return in just over a month, facing veteran Darren Elkins at UFC’s April 30th event. News of the matchup was first reported by Global News British Columbia.
The matchup is joining a UFC card that doesn’t have a confirmed location at the moment.
The fight marks Connelly’s first appearance in over a year. The 36-year-old was reportedly sidelined last year after undergoing neck surgery.
Connelly’s last fight was a unanimous decision loss to Pat Sabatini in April 2021. A year-and-a-half before then, he scored an upset win in his debut against Michel Pereira.
Elkins, a UFC veteran of over a decade, will be fighting to come back from a finish loss he took against Cub Swanson late last year. Before then, he had attained two consecutive finish wins between 2020 and 2021.
