A couple of matchups set for UFC’s March 12th card have suffered changes. Two fights have been removed from the card, although new fights have already been booked in place of those.
The changes are have been made to a card that is set to take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Robertson To Replace Lipski In Flyweight Bout Against Aldrich
Flyweight vet Gillian Robertson has stepped in to replace Ariane Lipski in a fight against JJ Aldrich. This new matchup was confirmed by David Van Aucken earlier in the week.
Robertson snapped a two-fight skid in her last appearance, securing a first-round rear naked choke submission against Priscila Cachoeira at UFC 269. The fight was her seventh win through 11 UFC appearances.
Alrich is also on a roll, having won two fights last year. Her most recent bout was a decision victory over Vanessa Demopoulos in August.
Maverick Steps In For Bohm To Face Mazo
Sabina Mazo has been given a new opponent as well. Mandy Bohm has withdrawn from her flyweight bout but has been replaced by Miranda Maverick since then. Nolan King of MMA Junkie confirmed the fight on Wednesday.
The new pairing gives both fighters a chance to snap losing streaks.
Maverick has suffered a decision loss in her past two bouts, dropping fights to Maycee Barber and Erin Blanchfield last year. Her UFC record is currently an even two wins and two losses.
Mazo also suffered two defeats last year. Her last appearance saw her take a submission loss, getting stopped by Mariya Agapova.
