Martina Jindrova Earns PFL Lightweight Contract on ‘Challenger Series’

Martina Jindrova secured a PFL 2022 regular-season contract at the promotion’s third “Challenger Series” on Friday night. Jindrova’s contract win saw her beat fellow finalist Jeslen Mishelle, along with other winners Jackie Cataline and Michelle Montague.

Jindrova’s contract opportunity came after being the only fighter to go to a decision on the episode.

Jindrova Goes The Distance In Battle Against Cavalcanti

Martina Jindrova had a close win in the main event of the card, walking away with a split decision win after three rounds against Jacqueline Cavalcanti.

The fight was a fast-paced striking battle that was maintained throughout all three rounds. Jindrova hurt Cavalcanti in the second round, although Cavalcanti was able to endure some tough moments and land her own shots in the final round as well.

The fight snapped a two-fight losing streak that Jindrova took in 2021.

Cavalcanti took her first pro loss in this appearance, appearing after two wins previously.

Cataline Submits Fellow Pro Newcomer Adams Early

In a double debut, Jackie Cataline scored a quick submission win over Camee Adams in the co-main event.

Cataline secured a rear naked choke on Adams in the first round after a few minutes in side control. This quick and dominant win for Cataline proved to be a successful debut after previously competing in wrestling.

Adams was also fighting as a pro for the first time. Her amateur run resulted in three wins and two losses from, 2015 to 2020.

Mishelle Overwhelms Dorny With Strikes, Wins Debut

A constant flurry of shots from Jeslen Mishelle earned her a first-round stoppage win in her pro debut, defeating Julia Dorny in the second bout of the evening.

Mishelle pressed forward with strikes throughout the fight, mostly landing punches but also connecting with knees in the clinch.

This long series of shots eventually caused Dorny to bleed and knocked her to the ground, allowing Mishelle to close out the fight with ground and pound.

Mishelle was making her pro debut after an undefeated amateur run of five wins.

Dorny had an undefeated record of two wins before Friday night.

IMMAF Vet Montague Wins Pro Debut

Michelle Montague won her pro debut in the opening fight of the card, submitting Bellator alum Olivia Parker in the first round via rear naked choke.

Parker focused on striking to open the fight. Montague eventually scored a takedown, allowing her to quickly take the back and apply a choke for the win.

Montague was turning pro after a successful amateur MMA career, competing through the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation program.

Parker is now on a three-fight losing streak, with all losses coming via first-round submission.
