Ryan Kuse kept his undefeated record intact on Friday night, stopping Jamal Johnson in the first round of a main event bout.
Kuse’s win headlined Titan FC 74 from the Hyatt Regency Miami in Miami, Florida, USA.
Kuse scored a takedown in the first round and took the back of Johnson, leading to the end of the fight. He flattened Johnson out numerous times from the back, using these positions to unload with ground and pound.
Johnson battled against Kuse in these positions for a while, although the referee eventually saw enough punches and finished the bout.
Kuse now holds an undefeated record of six wins. He has quickly developed these victories since turning pro in 2020.
Johnson took the headlining fight on short notice, stepping to replace Asa Ten Pow. His record is now a negative three wins and seven losses.
‘BKFC’ Fighter Diaz Scores Quick Win
Uly Diaz scored a submission win in his second-ever MMA fight, catching Lazaro Perez in the first round with a guillotine choke from full guard.
Perez, 41, was threatened with a guillotine choke while shooting for a takedown. He tapped to this choke moments later, causing an end to the bout.
Diaz was returning to MMA after a run in bare-knuckle boxing promotion BKFC. His most recent fight came just a few weeks before this event, defeating Sawyer Depee at BKFC’s “Knuckle Mania 2” card.
Garcia Uses Striking For Win Over Manzur
Adrian Garcia had a hard-fought win in the next bout, defeating Gaston Manzur via unanimous decision.
Manzur had a successful opening round to the fight, taking Garcia down to the ground. However, Garcia had two rounds where his strong striking skills earned him a lead on the scorecards.
“I’m not gonna lie to you, I thought he was a bum. But he’s not a bum, he’s a great fighter,” said Garcia in his post-fight interview.
Garcia is now on a six-fight winning streak, including five bouts in the Titan FC cage.
Cooper Earns Nine-Second Debut Win
Makoa Cooper needed just seconds to win his pro debut, defeating Ratavious Thrasher in just nine seconds.
Cooper dropped Thrasher in the opening moments of their battle with an overhand right. This shot made Thrasher crash to the canvas hard, ending the fight seconds later.
Thrasher disputed the referee’s decision to end the fight afterward, although it was clear that the stoppage was justified.
Thrasher was also making his pro debut in this fight.
Injury Takes Johnson Out of Fight Against Villamil Early
Gustavo Villamil had a somewhat anti-climatic win on Friday night, as an injury to Chris Johnson called an end to their fight in the first round.
Villamil took Johnson down in the opening minute of the fight. They then remained on the ground until the referee stepped in, noticing that Johnson was grimacing due to an injury.
Johnson was on the ground for numerous minutes afterward, as it seemed that he suffered an injury to his midsection. He was eventually helped out of the cage.
Johnson’s record is now a negative eight wins and 14 losses.
Villamil snapped a two-fight losing streak with the performance.

Dayron was successful on the feet, although his skills on the ground were where he succeeded the most. Dayron kept Mahmoud on his back on the ground, using these positions to pour on with ground and pound.
Dayron nearly finished the fight in the final round, flattening Mahmoud out on the ground and unloading with punches to the head.
