Daiana Torquato will get another chance to become champion on Wednesday night, facing Invicta FC Flyweight Champion Karina Rodriguez in a five-round fight. Their matchup is scheduled to headline Invicta FC 46 from Kansas City, Kansas, USA.

Here’s a preview of the show.

Main Card (6:00PM EST / 5:00PM CST) (Youtube)

Bout 1: Paulina Granados (4-4) vs. Monique Adriane (4-2) (Atomweight)

Fighting for her first win in over four years, Paulina Granados will face Monique Adriane at atomweight.

Granados has gone winless in her past two pro fights, losing twice in Combate Americas. She also lost her Invicta FC debut in June 2021, dropping a one-round exhibition fight to Marisa Messer-Belenchia. The bout was part of an eight-woman, one-night tournament that the promotion held.

Adriane is appearing for the first time since 2019. Her last outing was a loss in her Invicta FC debut, dropping a decision to now-UFC fighter Loma Lookboonmee.

Bout 2: Kristina Williams (4-3) vs. Flore Hani (4-1) (Flyweight)

Attempting to keep her current momentum alive, Flore Hani will face Bellator alum Kristina Williams.

Hani is currently on a four-fight winning streak as a pro. This includes two victories from 2021, defeating Valerie Soto and Stephanie Paige.

She will now face Williams, who has fought six times in the past for Bellator. the experienced fighter snapped a two-fight skid in her last appearance, defeating Helen Lucero on XFC’s first “Young Guns” card.

Bout 3: Danielle Taylor (11-6) vs. Liz Tracy (6-4) (Strawweight)

Appearing for the first time following an unsuccessful title bout last year, former UFC fighter Danielle Taylor will meet Liz Tracy.

Taylor attempted to claim the vacant Invicta FC Strawweight Championship in a fight against Emily Ducote last year. She ended up losing that bout, suffering a head kick knockout in the first round.

Tracy is coming off a split decision win that she earned against Jodie Esquibel last year. That win snapped a two-fight losing streak that she previously held.

Tracy missed weight for her fight by nearly two pounds on Wednesday.

Bout 4: Milana Dudieva (12-8) vs. Denise Gomes (4-1) (Flyweight)

Rising flyweight Denise Gomes will make her Invicta FC debut in the co-main event, facing veteran Milana Dudieva.

Gomes is joining Invicta FC following a highly successful 2021 that saw her pick up four wins on the Brazilian regional scene.

Gomes has a chance to make an impact in her first Invicta FC fight. However, she has a tough name to do that against. Dudieva, a former UFC flyweight, is making her 21st appearance as a pro on Wednesday.

Dudieva has had a somewhat unsuccessful campaign in Invicta FC since 2017, attaining just one win through four pro appearances. She is given the opportunity to start to turn things around on Wednesday night.

Bout 5: Karina Rodriguez (9-4) vs. Daiana Torquato (10-4) (Invicta FC Flyweight Championship)

Karina Rodriguez will get the chance to defend her Invicta FC Flyweight Championship for the first time on Wednesday night when facing Daiana Torquato.

Rodriguez was originally booked to face Ketlen Souza in Wednesday’s main event. However, after Souza withdrew from the bout, it was announced that Torquato would be the new opponent. Torquato was already booked for this card but was put into this title bout last week.

Rodriguez defeated Torquato last year to claim the belt. Their fight went all five rounds in May 2021, with Rodriguez taking a unanimous decision win in the end. The fight was Rodriguez’s first appearance since 2019, where she lost a fight to Vanessa Porto.
