Aliaskhab Khizriev’s struggle to receive a UFC debut has hit yet another bump in the road.
Abusupiyan Magomedov, the opponent for Khizriev in a March 26th UFC booking, has reportedly withdrawn from the bout. The promotion is now seeking Denis Tiuliulin as a short-notice replacement, per Nolan King, Farah Hannoun, and Danny Segura of MMA Junkie.
If the new pairing can be finalized, it would join a “Fight Night” card that is set to take place at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, USA.
Khizriev has been on the UFC roster for over a year but has yet to make his debut. He had three bookings thrown out during the year for various reasons.
Khizriev first secured a UFC contract in 2020, earning a 50-second victory over Henrique Shiguemoto on the TV show “Dana White’s Contender Series.” He currently has an undefeated record of 13 wins.
Tiulin has a record of 10 wins through 15 pro fights. His last appearance was on a UAE Warriors card, defeating Juscelino Ferreira in the first round with strikes.
