UFC Newcomer Ange Loosa To Face Mounir Lazzez At April 16th UFC Card

UFC’s April 16th card has lost a fight, as Elizeu Zaleski has withdrawn from his booking against Mounir Lazzez. Replacing him will be “Contender Series” alum Ange Loosa, per a report from Ryan Frederick.

The new matchup is set to take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

Loosa is joining the UFC roster with a record of eight wins and two losses. He picked up a victory just earlier this month, defeating veteran John Howard on an XMMA card for his eighth pro win.

Loosa appeared on the 2021 season of “Dana White’s Contender Series,” where he dropped a decision to Jack Della Maddalena.

Now with a new opponent, Lazzez will be fighting to bounce back from his first UFC loss. That defeat came in early 2021, as Warlley Alves scored a stoppage win against him.

Zaleski withdrew from the card due to “personal reasons,” per MMA Fighting’s Guilherme Cruz. It is not known when he will compete next.
