Heavyweight Chase Sherman has been released by the UFC after a four-fight run with the promotion in recent years. News of Sherman’s departure from the roster was reported by Guilherme Cruz of MMA Fighting on Tuesday.
Sherman, 32, entered the UFC roster in 2020 for his second run with the promotion. While he started the run with a finish win against Ike Villanueva, he is exiting the roster after suffering three consecutive losses between 2021 and 2020.
Sherman’s last fight was a first-round finish loss to Jake Collier in January.
Sherman had previously also appeared in the UFC from 2016 to 2018. His combined promotional record between both runs has resulted in three wins and eight losses.
