Former heavyweight title challenger Derrick Lewis is expected to meet Sergei Pavlovich at UFC’s July 30th event, per a report from Marc Raimondi of ESPN.
The new matchup sees Lewis serve as a veteran gatekeeper across from a rising name in the division. The fight does not have a confirmed location at the moment.
Pavlovich has yet to lose since joining the UFC roster in 2019. He scored his third win for the promotion in March, stopping Shamil Abdurakhimov in the first round of a fight with strikes.
Lewis will be fighting to get back into the win column after suffering a stoppage loss against Tai Tuivasa in February. The fight was Lewis’ second loss in his past five fights, with the previous defeat coming against Ciryl Gane in an interim title bout last year.
The sole other fight booked for UFC’s July 30th card currently is a fight between middleweights Alex Pereira and Sean Strickland.
