Alex da Silva is scheduled to make his return to the UFC cage at the promotion’s June 4th event, facing Joe Solecki in a lightweight bout. News of the matchup was first reported by Guilherme Cruz of MMA Fighting.
The pairing is joining a “Fight Night” card that doesn’t have a set location at the moment.
Da Silva will be competing for the first time in over a year. The three-fight UFC vet last fought in September 2020, when he lost a unanimous decision to Brad Riddell.
Solecki has the goal of fighting to rebound off his sole UFC loss. He took that defeat in October 2021, suffering a split decision loss to Jared Gordon. Before then, he won three consecutive fights in the promotion.
