Rising flyweight Manon Fiorot will get to compete in front of her home country when she faces former title challenger Katlyn Chookagian later this year.
Fiorot and Chookagian are expected to meet at UFC’s September 3rd event at the Accor Arena in Paris, France. News of the matchup was first confirmed by Olivier Angelini of BoxeMag.com.
Fiorot has yet to lose through four fights in the UFC. She prevailed in a big step-up test earlier this year, defeating Jennifer Maia via unanimous decision in March.
Fiorot’s three previous UFC wins came in 2021 alone.
Chookagian is also on a roll, having won four straight victories since late 2020. She has already picked up two wins this year, beating Amanda Ribas and the aforementioned Maia in decision outcomes.
No other fights have been confirmed for UFC’s September 3rd show so far. It has been previously reported that UFC is targeting a fight between heavyweights Ciryl Gane and Tai Tuivasa.
