Juliana Miller Takes Rematch Over Claire Guthrie On ‘The Ultimate Fighter’

Juliana Miller avenged a loss on this week’s episode of “The Ultimate Fighter,” going three rounds against Claire Guthrie for a unanimous decision victory.

Their flyweight bout needed an overtime round, as scorecards were tied after two frames.

The fight was close through the first two rounds. The battle was mostly a striking contest in the first round, engaging frequently from clinch positions. The second round went more to the ground, where both fighters scored control time.

Miller won the fight with a large amount of control time in the final round. She was first taken down by Guthrie, but was able to reverse position with a kimura attempt. After that, she spent numerous minutes on top and landing strikes.

Coincidentally, the last fight that both Miller and Guthrie competed in before this “TUF” season was against each other. Guthrie picked up a win in that May 2021 encounter, beating Miller on scorecards at an Invicta FC card.

Miller’s performance on the recent “TUF” episode gets back the sole loss that she has taken as a pro.

The quarter-finals for this season’s heavyweight bracket will wrap up next week with a fight between Chandler Cole and Jordan Heiderman.

Heiderman is entering this season with a flawless pro record of five wins, including four appearances in the LFA. Cole, a former PFL fighter, has a pro record of eight wins and three losses.
