A pair of new matchups have joined UFC’s November 22nd pay-per-view event. The fights are now part of UFC 280, which will take place at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi.
Abdelwahab To Return Against Porter
Coming off a successful UFC debut recently, Hamdy Abdelwahab will face Parker Porter in November. News of the fight was first reported by Nolan King and Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie.
Abdelwahab picked up his first UFC win just a few weeks ago, defeating Don’Tale Mayes via split decision at UFC 277. He took that fight on short notice, stepping in for Justin Tafa.
Still in his rookie year as a pro, Abdelwahab has an undefeated record of four wins. His July performance marked the first time that he went the distance as a pro.
Porter will be fighting to bounce back from a recent loss. The veteran heavyweight had a three-fight winning streak broken in May, suffering a first-round submission loss to Jailton Almeida.
Bantamweights Rosa, Lansberg Matched
A bantamweight fight between Karol Rosa and Lina Lansberg is also expected to happen on that date, as announced by the promotion earlier this week.
Lansberg has the chance to earn her first victory since 2019. She has suffered two consecutive losses in recent years, dropping decisions to Sara McMann and Pannie Kianzad.
Rosa is coming off her first UFC loss, which came against Sara McMann in March. Before then, she earned four consecutive victories in the promotion.
