UFC will return to Perth, Australia for a pay-per-view event next year, per a report from Josh Zimmerman and Bryce Luff of PerthNow.
Perth Tourism Minister Roger Cook is expected to hold a press conference this week to announce UFC 284 for February 12th, per the report.
PerthNow is reporting that Cook will be joined by UFC Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski to reveal that the event will take place at The RAC Arena.
The announcement will mark UFC’s first appearance in the country in years. The promotion’s last appearance in the country dates back to 2019, when Israel Adesanya faced Robert Whittaker in the main event of UFC 243 in Melbourne.
