The wheels are currently in motion for UFC to make their first appearance in Korea since 2019. Three fights have reportedly been booked for a card that is scheduled to take place in Seoul, South Korea.
Korean talents Jung Da-un and Kim Ji-yeon have been booked for the card, per John Hyon Ko of The Allstar.
Jung will be aiming to bounce back from his sole UFC loss when he faces Devin Clark.
Jung’s first promotional defeat came in July, when he suffered a first-round finish loss against Dustin Jacoby. He had four wins and one draw in the promotion before then.
The fight gives Clark the chance to turn around a rough current run in the UFC. He has lost three of his last five fights, including a recent finish defeat against Azamat Murzakanov.
Fighting to end a losing streak, Kim will take on Mandy Bohm.
Kim is on a lengthy four-fight losing streak that includes fights from 2020 to 2022. Her last fight was a close result, dropping a split decision to Joselyne Edwards at UFC 277.
Bohm is still on the hunt for her first UFC win. She has taken two consecutive losses since joining the roster. Her last fight was in July, when Invicta FC alum Victoria Leonardo beat her on scorecards.
Kinoshita To Make UFC Debut Against Fugitt
Coming off a strong showing on “Dana White’s Contender Series,” Yusaku Kinoshita will make his UFC debut against Adam Fugitt. News of the pairing was first reported by Matthew Wells and Nolan King of MMA Junkie.
Kinoshita picked up a finish win on “Dana White’s Contender Series” in August, catching Jose Henrique in the third round with punches to stop their bout. Before then, he had a record of five wins and one loss that were attained on the UFC roster.
Fugit made his UFC debut in July, stepping in on short notice to replace Ramiz Brahimaj in a fight against Michael Morales. The LFA alum was stopped in the third round of that fight.
