Two undefeated titleholders will meet at ONE Championship’s December 3rd card.
Interim heavyweight champion Anatoly Malykhin will move down to 225 pounds to challenge Reinier de Ridder next month, as first reported by Nicolas Atkin of the South China Morning Post.
The booking is scheduled to be on the fifth instalment of “ONE on Prime Video.”
The fight will be de Ridder’s first time defending his 225-pound belt. The two-division champion has spent his last two appearances down at 205-pounds, where he has overcame Vitaly Bigdash and Kiamrian Abbasov earlier this year.
De Ridder earned his 225-pound title in 2021, defeating Aung La N Sang for the second time within a year.
Malykhin became a heavyweight champion in his last appearance. He remained undefeated in February, scoring a second-round finish win over Kirill Grishenko. This was his third win in ONE, with his two other appearances in the promotion resulting in quick stoppages.
Malykhin was previously booked to face main heavyweight champion Arjan Bhullar in September. However, that fight fell through after Bhullar suffered an injury.
The new booking is the first MMA title fight to join “ONE on Prime Video 5.” The card already has a kickboxing championship bout between Superbon ingha Mawynn and Chingiz Allazov, along with a Muay Thai bout including Janet Todd and Allycia Rodrigues.
