Less than a month after he won his UFC debut, Waldo Cortes-Acosta will return on November 19th to face Chase Sherman in a heavyweight bout. The booking was confirmed Tuesday by Carlos Contreras Legaspi of ESPN Deportes.
The bout is expected to take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Cortes-Acosta won his UFC debut in late October, going the distance against Jared Vanderaa for a unanimous decision win. This performance kept him undefeated as a pro through eight fights.
Previous appearances for Cortes-Acosta include a fight in Bellator and two appearances in the LFA. He also notably dethroned LFA Heavyweight Champion Thomas Petersen in April with a third-round finish.
Sherman brings an experience edge into this fight. While boasting a negative promotional record, Sherman has appeared in the UFC a total of 13 times.
Sherman broke a four-fight losing streak in July when he beat Jared Vanderaa with a late finish.
