A late-August show from regional Japanese MMA promotion Pancrase has been unveiled, as Pancrase 317 will take place at the Shinkiba Studio Coast in Tokyo, Japan on August 23rd.
Headlining the card is a featherweight clash between former UFC fighter Yoshinori Horie and Taichi Nakajima.
Nakajima fights his way to the @UFC and Horie wants to make his return to the #UFC,” said Pancrase English commentator Stewart Fulton on Twitter, announcing the matchup.
Horie made his UFC debut in 2019, losing to Hakeem Dawodu. He returning to Pancrase in early 2020 with a main event decision win over Yojiro Uchimura. He looks for his second-straight win, just like his opponent does.
Nakajima, who fought on the same February card, got a win over Boris Fedorov, snapping a previous two-fight losing streak.

Also announced for the card was a clash between two lightweights in Takashi Matsuoka and Koshi Matsumoto. With 17 Pancrase appearances in total, Matsuoka has won his last two, looking for a third. Matsumoto, who will make his first Pancrase appearance since 2011, is looking to bounce back after a decision lost last October in ONE Championship.
