Starting off the pay-per-view portion of UFC 250, undefeated bantamweight prospect Sean O’Malley fought the more experienced Eddie Wineland. Here’s how the fight went.
Bout 8: Sean O’Malley (11-0) vs. Eddie Wineland (24-13-1) (Bantamweight)
O’Malley was trying for lots of head kicks early, not landing any clean ones. Wineland scored with a good counter-right hand in the second minute of the fight. O’Malley landed a good body kick and punch combination. After, O’Malley knocked Wineland out cold with a right-cross. Wineland’s head collided with the canvas on the way down.
RESULT: Sean O’Malley def. Eddie Wineland via KO, Right Cross (RD 1, 1:54)
