Undefeated MMA fighter Max Rohskopf will make his first UFC appearance on Saturday, taking a short notice fight against Austin Hubbard. Per a report from John Morgan and Nolan King of MMA Junkie, Rohskopf will replace Joe Solecki, who was planned to be on the card initially.
Rohskopf, an MMA fighter with a base in wrestling, made his professional MMA debut in 2018. He has picked up five wins since, all via stoppage. More recently Rohskopf defeated Paulo Silva on a Titan FC show.
Hubbard will be a big challenge for Rohskopf, as Hubbard heads into the fight with an 11-4 record. He will look to even his 1-2 UFC record, which favoured losses again after a scorecard match against Mark Madsen.
Solekci’s departure from the card was sudden, announcing on Instagram earlier in the week that he would not take part.
“Due to reasons beyond my control, I have been forced to withdrawal from next week’s fight,” said Solecki in his post.
