Finishing off the prelims, undefeated Swedish fighter Khamzat Chimaev faces John Phillips. The fight went like this.

Chimaev was quick to score a takedown in the opening seconds of the fight. Phillips was hit with tons of punches while being smothered by Chimaev against the cage. Chimaev eventually got on the back of Phillips while continuing to land punches. Phillips was bleeding due to the strikes to the head. The punches continued for many minutes on the ground. Phillips endured the punches until the round ended.
Chimaev got his second takedown moments into the second round. He tried for a d’arce choke in the second minute, with Phillips tapping quickly after.
