ONE Championship’s “No Surrender” event on July 31st now has six fights booked in total. The show is set to take place at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand with two championship bouts headlining.
Due to closer borders restricting the amount of talent that can come to the country, the majority of the show features fighters from Thailand.
Two Muay Thai Belts on The Line
At the top of the card is two of ONE’s Muay Thai belts on the line. In the main event, Rodtang Jitmuangnon returns to face Petchdam Petchyindee Academy. Rodtang, the current ONE Muay Thai flyweight champion, will look to make his third defence. He last put the belt on the line in January, defeating Jonathan Haggerty in a rematch.
The co-main event sees ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion Petchmorakot Petchyindee Academy face Yodsanklai IWE Fairtex. Petchmorakot claimed the belt in February after defeating Pongsiri PK Saenchaimuaythaigym via decision.
Before the title fights will be a kickboxing bout between Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong and Superbon. With the title fights, the kickboxing matchup was part of the trio of bouts that was previously reported.
Stamp Returns To MMA Versus Srisan
Stamp Fairtex will continue her MMA campaign on the show when she faces fellow undefeat Thai fighter Sunisa Srisan. Stamp has won her first three MMA fights, with her most recent win being a first round stoppage win over Puja Tomar.
Stamp lost her ONE Kickboxing Flyweight Championship in February after a close battle against Janet Todd.
Srisan will make her ONE debut, with her three previous MMA bouts taking place in Thailand-based promotion Full Metal Dojo.
Abelardo To Make Fifth ONE Appearance
The other MMA bout of the show sees Mark Fairtex Abelardo face Fabricio Andrade.
Abelardo fought on ONE feeder series “ONE Warrior Series” twice in 2018, winning in both appearances. He made his debut on a flagship ONE show in 2019. Now having four fights on the mainstage, Abelardo was won twice and lost twice. He looks to bounce back from his decision loss to Troy Worthen on this card.
Andrade will be making his first appearance in ONE, with a five-fight record outside the promotion. His career has been slow, having competed less than one-a-year since his 2014 debut. His last fight came in May of 2019, where he won via decision over LiGe Teng.
Kicking off the card will be a Muay Thai matchup between Panpayak Jitmuangnon and Superlek Kiatmoo9.
