Timur Valiev’s UFC debut will come against Jamall Emmers on the August 1st “Fight Night” card. First reported by Nolan King and John Morgan of MMA Junkie, the 18-fight Russian will make his first appearance on the show from the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Valiev comes into his UFC run on a six-fight streak of wins from numerous promotions. From 2014 to 2018, Valiev competed in high-level MMA promotion WSOF. With the promotion’s rebranding to “PFL,” Valiev compete in the promotion’s 2018 season before leaving.
His most recent win is a decision win over Taigro Costa at GFC in Russia.
Emmers had his respective UFC debut last March, losing via split decision to Giga Chikadze at UFC 248. In his previous fights, Emmers had four-consecutive wins in the regional MMA scene, including an arm triangle win last January in LFA.
UFC August 1st card now has 11 bouts, including a main event bout between Holly Holm and Irene Aldana. In it’s current form, here’s UFC’s show.
