Following a successful UFC debut in February, David Dvorak will be matched against Jordan Espinosa on September 19th at UFC 253. First reported by Mike Heck of MMA Fighting, the flyweight bout joins the now six-fight card.
Dvorak’s debut came as a replacement earlier in 2020, filling in for Su Mudaerji on a show in Brazil. Getting a decision win over Bruno Silva, Dvorak extended his streak of wins to 14 consecutive in professional MMA. The Czech Republic fighter will look for his second promotional victory in September.
Espinosa’s four-fight UFC run has had its ups and downs so far. Being scouted from TV series “Dana White’s Contender Series,” Espinosa got his debut win in 2019 in the UFC against Eric Shelton. After that, Espinosa lost two fights via first-round submission. Bouncing back, Espinosa defeated Mark De La Rosa in June.
The UFC 253 show set for September is still building, with it’s headlining bout between UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya and Paulo Costa announced just earlier this week. Here’s the card currently.
