Rodrigo Vargas will attempt to break a two-fight losing streak on September 12th when he’s matched with Alan Patrick on a UFC card. News of the pairing was first reported by Nolan King and Mike Bohn of MMA Junkie.
Vargas has yet to win in his UFC run, having lost his first two bouts. After a 2019 decision loss to Alex da Silva, Vargas lost a fight against Brok Weaver via disqualification due to an illegal knee.
The fight will be Patrick’s return to MMA, as his last fight was a loss to Scott Holtzman in the Fall of 2018. Patrick’s September booking is the fourth attempt to get him a fight in 2020, as three fights before fell through for various reasons including COVID-19 cancelling events and injury interfering.
