The October 17th UFC card has lost a bout, as Renato Moicano has withdrawn from his fight against Magomed Mustafaev. News of the cancelled fight was first reported by Neri Fung of AgFight.
The fight’s status change leaves two questions – why did Moicano withdraw, and what’s next for Mustafaev. It is currently not known if Mustafaev will get a new opponent for the “Fight Night” card which is just under a month away.
Moicano was looking to build off of his first win since 2018, as his appearance last March saw him stop Damir Hadzovic in the first minute via rear naked choke.
Mustafaev was looking to return to the win column after a split decision loss to Brad Riddell last February.
