Heavyweights Stefan Struve and Tai Tuivasa have been added to the UFC 254 card, per an announcement from the promotion on Thursday. The fight will join the UFC’s lineup of events from “Fight Island” at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Struve’s previous fight, last December, was his official return from retirement, which he announced in early 2019. Struve lost to Ben Rothwell, being finished in the second round after a fight which was polluted with accidental groin shots.
Tuivasa will attempt to end a three-fight streak of losses in the fight. Tuivasa had a strong start to his UFC career, picking up three-straight wins from 2017 through to 2018.
His first loss came in late 2018, being stopped by Junior dos Santos in the second round. Tuivasa returned twice in 2019, losing fights to Blagoy Ivanov and Serghei Spivac.
