Wagering his five-fight streak of wins, Merab Dvalishvili is being targeted for a December 5th matchup against Cody Stamann. The matchup was first reported by Greg Rosenstein of The Athletic.
Dvalishvili has been on an explosive run since 2018, picking up five-straight decision victories. The streak saw him bounce back from his rough start in the UFC, losing his first two appearances in the promotion.
Dvalishvili has picked up three wins in 2020, defeating Casey Kenney, Gustavo Lopez, and most recently, John Dodson.
Stamann’s last fight was a loss, not being favoured in a decision against Jimmie Rivera last July. He had won only a month before, defeating Brian Kelleher at UFC 250.
UFC’s December 5th show only has four fights lined up for it currently, although among them is a five-round main event between Jack Hermansson and Darren Till. Here’s the updated card.
Bout 4: Jack Hermansson (21-5) vs. Darren Till (18-3-1) (Middleweight)
Bout 3: Cody Stamann (19-3-1) vs. Merab Dvalishvili (12-4) (Bantamweight)
Bout 2: Bethe Correia (11-5-1) vs. Wu Yanan (11-3) (Bantamweight)
Bout 1: Gian Villante (17-12) vs. Jake Collier (11-5) (Heavyweight)
