Paul Daley says his next fight will be his retirement fight. The announcement comes days after a medical scare took him out of the Bellator 247 main event.
Daley was meant to fight on Friday’s Bellator 247 card, although he was forced off the card after needing to go to the hospital following a failed weight cut.
“Forever a samurai. But soon we will put the blade to rest. After discussions and careful consideration with my family, it has been decided that my next fight @bellatormma will be my last,” said Daley via Instagram.
Daley mentioned his retirement bout will be held at a catchweight of 175-pounds.
Daley has competed as a pro in MMA since 2003. He has competed 11 times in Bellator and three times in the UFC.
