The current stints of four UFC fighters have come to an end, as the promotion has decided not to proceed to work with them.
Mara Romero Borella, Iuri Alcantara, Jeff Hughes and Khadis Ibragimov have been cut by the UFC, per a report from Damon Martin and Guilherme Cruz of MMA Fighting.
Borella has lost her last four fights, three of which have come in 2020. Her last fight was in mid-September, being stopped in the first round by Mayra Bueno Silva. Borella fought seven times in total for the UFC.
Alcantara had an extensive UFC career that dated back to 2011. The featherweight fighter attained 10 wins in the UFC through his 19-fight run in the promotion. He last fought in August of 2018, losing to Cory Sanghagen in a “Fight of the Night.”
Heavyweight Hughes was cut after four fights. His four appearances resulted in three losses and one no contest. He returned in late September, being stopped by Juan Espino in the first.
Ibragimov had his UFC run end last week as well, as a loss to Danilo Marques at UFC 253 was his fourth-straight loss. The former M-1 Middleweight Champion entered the UFC in 2019 undefeated.
