UFC is planning to have a light heavyweight main event between Dominick Reyes and Jiri Prochazka for February 27th, per a report from Brett Okamoto of ESPN.
The fight will be the first for Reyes outside of a championship context since 2019. Reyes last competed in September, losing a fight for the vacant title to Jan Blachowicz.
In his previous outing, Reyes lost a controversial title fight against then-champ Jon Jones. The decision victory for Jones drew controversy as many scored Reyes as the winner.
Set to step into a UFC cage for only the second time in his career, the fight will be the first headlining bout within the promotion for Prochakza.
The former RIZIN Light Heavyweight Champion made his UFC debut at UFC 251 in July, defeating Volkan Oezdemir in the second round with punches. Prochazka currently has an 11-fight streak of wins.
The bout is the first reported for a February 27th date.
