PFL’s Kayla Harrison To Face Courtney King At Invicta FC 43

PFL lightweight Kayla Harrison will be loaned for one fight to Invicta FC, being matched with Courtney King for a November 20th card.

The fight joins Invicta FC 43, which is scheduled to take place from the Police Athletic League in Kansas City, Kansas, USA.

The fight was announced via press release by PFL on Monday.

Harrison is the top lightweight in PFL’s roster, having fought her entire seven-fight pro career under the promotion.

Harrison won the promotion’s 2019 season in December, defeating Larissa Pacheco via decision after three previous wins in the year.

King will be making her return to Invicta FC with the fight. She has fought twice in the promotion, winning and losing a bout each. She fought her last two matches outside of the promotion, picking up wins on the regional scene.

PFL, a season-based MMA promotion, is scheduled to have their reboot in 2021 after COVID-19 caused them to cancel their 2020 season. The first of six “Regular Season” events is scheduled to happen on April 23rd.

Invicta FC 43’s main event is currently a fight between Emily Ducote and Montserrat Ruiz for the promotion’s vacant strawweight belt.

The show previously had a main event between Pearl Gonzalez and Erin Blanchfield, however, it was scrapped after Gonzalez tested positive for COVID-19.

Here’s the updated card.

Bout 6: Emily Ducote (9-6) vs. Montserrat Ruiz (9-1) (Vacant Invicta FC Strawweight Championship)

Bout 5: Kayla Harrison (7-0) vs. Courtney King (4-1) (Featherweight)
