Two fights have recently been reported for UFC’s January 16th card. Here are the new additions.
Rodolfo Vieira vs. Anthony Hernandez
Undefeated Rodolfo Vieira will return to the cage when he fights Anthony Hernandez in January. The fight was first reported by Nolan King and John Morgan of MMA Junkie.
Vieira has won both of his UFC fights via stoppage so far. His last fight was in March, where he defeated Saparbeg Safarov via arm triangle choke in the first round.
A fight against Markus Perez in October was cancelled after Vieira withdrew from the booking.
Hernandez lost in his last fight, being stopped in less than a minute by Kevin Holland. Hernandez has a UFC record of one win and two losses since his 2019 debut.
Sara McMann vs. Julianna Pena
Bantamweights Sara McMann and Julianna Pena have also been added to the lineup. The fight was reported by Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie on Thursday.
McMann earned her sixth win under the UFC banner in January, taking Lina Lansberg to a unanimous decision in January. Her previous fight was a loss to Marion Reneau in 2018.
Pena lost in October, being stopped late in the fight by a guillotine choke from Germaine de Randamie.
The early 2021 card currently has a main event between Max Holloway and Calvin Kattar scheduled. Here’s the reported fights thus far.
