Jose Aldo looked to end a three-fight losing streak when fighting Marlon Vera on Saturday’s UFC card. Here’s how their fight went.

Vera clinched with Aldo in the second minute of the round, putting him against the cage. They separated after being in the position for over a minute. Aldo was landing hard hooks to the body in the fourth minute. Aldo scored with a clean leg kick late in the round. Aldo was quick to escape when Vera tried to clinch with him again. Vera landed a head kick late in the round. Aldo countered with a leg kick.
Aldo put together clean punches early in the second round. Aldo clinched in the third minute of the round. Vera landed a hard knee to the body in the position. Aldo blocked a trip takedown, going back to striking distance after. Vera scored with more knees and landed punches when clinching with Aldo in the final minute of the round.
Aldo applied a body lock on Vera immediately, getting to the back of Vera quickly. Aldo mounted the back of Vera, staying on his back while slowly taking him down to the ground. Aldo remained on Vera’s back as he stood up in the fourth minute of the round. The fight went back to the ground in the final minute as Aldo stayed pressed on Vera’s back. Aldo kept on Vera’s back until the round ran out of time. Aldo took the co-main event after 15 minutes of action (29-28, 29-28 & 29-28).
