Jared Vanderaa To Make UFC Debut Against Serghei Spivac on February 20th

Before heavyweights Derrick Lewis and Curtis Blaydes will headline the February 20th UFC card, Serghei Spivac and Jared Vanderaa will compete on the show’s undercard. Mike Heck of MMA Fighting broke the story on Monday.

The fight joins a lineup that does not have a confirmed location at the moment.

Like the main event for the show, this matchup was booked before but cancelled after a COVID-19 test interfered. Scheduled for UFC 256 previously, the heavyweight bout departed the lineup after Vanderaa tested positive for COVID-19.

The fight will be Vanderaa’s UFC debut. Vanderaa earned a UFC contract in November, defeating Harry Hunsucker within a round on “Dana White’s Contender Series.”

Spivac currently has an even UFC record of two wins and two losses. He won his last fight in July, taking a majority decision against Carlos Felipe.
